Jessica Chang
Senior Researcher
Ms. Chang works on HCCI’s data infrastructure efforts and focuses on flagship products, such as the Healthy Market Index and Health Care Cost and Utilization Report. An expert in commercial claims, her research interests focus on health care competition, health policy, and behavioral economics. Prior to HCCI, Jessica worked at OptumLabs as a senior analyst where she worked on research projects and programmed analytical datasets from a large administrative claims data warehouse.
Jessica received her BAs in Economics and International Relations and an MA in Economics from Boston University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health in the Health Services Research, Policy and Administration program with an emphasis in Economics. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on exogenous shocks to consumer choice sets in health care.
A native of Honolulu, Jessica enjoys her annual winter trips home to escape winters on the mainland. She enjoys biking, traveling and cooking.
